With over twenty years of experience in strategic policy, project development and advocacy, Sarah Scarce is a Strategic Policy & Advocacy Executive, and Policy & Advocacy Lead for Same Same But Different (SSBD).
Sarah leads the SSBD Agency with a dual degree in Law with Honours, and International Relations, as well as a postgraduate Diplo
With over twenty years of experience in strategic policy, project development and advocacy, Sarah Scarce is a Strategic Policy & Advocacy Executive, and Policy & Advocacy Lead for Same Same But Different (SSBD).
Sarah leads the SSBD Agency with a dual degree in Law with Honours, and International Relations, as well as a postgraduate Diploma of Legal Practice.
She has lived and worked in both China and Japan, where she has developed her skills in cross cultural communication through project development and government relations.
Time in legal practise has spanned policy development, employment, guardianship, criminal and immigration law, before extended work overseas in international trade and business development.
Her most prominent project development includes: The Aqua English Project Ltd, Swim Logan, The International Climate Change Education Project, The Logan Legal Education Pilot Project, Queensland Water Exercise and Therapy (QWET), The Beechmont Recreation, Arts & Sports Community Hub. and most recently, The Generational Road Safety Alliance.
Sector expertise extends to vocational education and training, employment and skill development, sport for healing and social justice, torture and trauma led therapy, culturally and linguistically diverse (refugee and migrant) advocacy.
Sarah's career has been shaped by the challenge of translating the needs of organisations and individuals who operate from the grassroots community level and communicating these needs through advocacy and project development to stakeholders, policy makers, industry and government for lasting change.
